Malawi Film Launches with Great Success

Monday, 12th September 2016

We are delighted to announce that our film 'My Malawi - Natalie's Story' is being shared with the world.

Filmed on location in the Mulanje district of Malawi, our film documents the life-changing experience of Natalie Bowland - just one of hundreds of committed school fundraisers fortunate enough to visit Malawi each year. Spending time with her partner school and finally being united with Zioni, the girl she sponsors, is what she was really looking forward to during her two-week stay. However, nothing can prepare her for what she experiences when she is there nor the incredible impact on her personally.

"It was my first time taking part in something like 'My Malawi' and the process was an unforgettable experience. I really enjoyed working with Rumble TV and would love to do it all over again."

Natalie Boland, North Lanarkshire school pupil

Produced by Rumble TV in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council and charity Aiming Higher in Malawi, the film has been launched with an overwhelming reaction. The hope is that 'My Malawi - Natalie's Story' will be used to promote ongoing partnerships between schools in the UK and Malawi and encourage more young people to become actively involved in supporting their peers in Malawi.

"As Convener of Education, I have a duty and responsibility to spend public money wisely. Time after time Rumble TV demonstrate an ability to deliver on their vision and produce films of outstanding quality for North Lanarkshire Council."

Jim Logue, Convener of Education, North Lanarkshire Council

This is the third film Glasgow production company Rumble TV has produced in Malawi. 'My Malawi - Natalie's Story' is being distributed throughout schools in Scotland and is available on You Tube via http://youtu.be/fTJ5N7vl7Hc

"The film is excellent. It covers all the many aspects of Aiming Higher in Malawi. I hope great things come of it."
